Prior to and when dealing, I explicitly confirmed with the seller if the item was authentic and brand new in box. Seller confirmed without hesitation that both these important requirements were true. Didn't have much time to scrutinize and check during the meetup, but upon checking back at home, realised that the item was neither authentic nor brand new in box. I confirmed this by comparing against multiple google searches and youtube videos of the real thing, and even showed evidence to seller, while trying to seek for a refund. He was less than responsive and when he did respond, was extremely dismissive and insisted that the item was both authentic and brand new. To give him the benefit of the doubt, he might really believe that he is telling the truth but is extremely stubborn to refuse investigating further, and choosing to just keep the money. This was a painful $80 lesson, and I hope the other buyers out there learn from my experience and take extreme precaution when dealing with him to confirm that what you're buying from him matches with what he claims on his listings. No other collectors deserve to pay any money for a used bootleg, and I sincerely hope no one else suffers the same fate I did.
