Seller was very nice during the deal, went through a short demo on the usage of the unit. We were quite pleased and impressed. We were convinced it worked fine. However, upon bringing home the unit, couldn’t get the unit to play properly. Intermittent on power and AV cable had issues on the connectivity. Player damaged our customer’s tape. Not willing to return or refund.

Item was inspected and demonstrated in person prior to purchase, including power, recording and playback functions, and was working at the time. Buyer tested and accepted the unit before completing the transaction. This is a 25+ year-old legacy device and performance can vary depending on setup and handling. quirks of the unit were communicated. It was never known to cause any tape damage during my ownership. As this was a completed in-person sale with inspection, a refund is not applicable.
