I decided on the day before after talking to some African friends that box braids can be problematic. So I decided to pass. However, I paid $70 ($50 deposit, $20 Hair soaked.) told her to keep the $20 cause she soaked the hair but she kept arguing about the deposit even though she did not specify that it’ll be forfeited. Just told her she should inform customers beforehand and be transparent.

Its with basic understanding that deposits are non refundable especially in a business which requires materials and time to be put aside for the customer . Deposit acts as an safety for us incase the customer backs out. I will be more transparent in the future :)
